I move my question here since I think it fits better here. Sorry if I posted in wrong thread. Well, it's about the raincoat hat that I think exists.

How does it look? Is it that pink one with a flower on the side? It doesn't look made for a raincoat. Remember I saw something better... I opened the raincoat skin in Contentmanager and on the picture it looked like there was something more than a coat and boots.

Well, but from the picture at the official site: http://thesims2.ea.com/getcoolstu...download.php?codeType=EP5RAINCOAT . There shouldn't be any hat with it. But if you really found the texture, then there may be ways to make it available again.

It depends on whether there is a mesh file with it. If so, you may ask some skin designer to make it available. I only know how to create and modify object files but not skin files, but I'm sure someone here or somewhere else knows it.

Going through my Sims 2 skins I noticed that the pink hat that is packaged along with the pre-order raincoat doesn't seem to be selectable as a seperate hat (hairstyle) and seems that the only Sims who can wear it is the one that it's packaged with, provided you don't remove it.

Is this the same for everyone else?
And if so, does anyone know how to seperate the hat from the pre-order raincoat package so that it can be repackaged and then can be selected to be used by other Sims in Create-A-Sim or when changing appearance with a mirror?

Hi, yes I too have that problem. But I know why it doesn't appear as a separate download. It is because it is a hidden hairstyle in Create-A-Sim and the only way to get it is with that boolProp testingCheatsEnabled cheat and holding Shift+N or M, I forget which one is it, to enable debug mode in Create-A-Sim. Then you are able to select it as a hairstyle. Men also have a pink hat like that. Oh and the hairstyle appears among the last hairstyles because it's a hat. I don't know how to get it using the mirror though, but I think people can extract the textures with simPe or something like that and paste them in some of the other hats already in the game and use them as a recolor download or something.

P.S. I don't know how to get the textures of the hidden hairstyles with simPE though.

Yeah, I think that way too... But it is there. I think you can change the in-game sims' hairstyle with simPE in the sims' clothing category. Open their "clothing" and select the hairstyle you want for everyday, etc... The only problem is that you have to know which hat you want because there are many files with "hat" in their names... But there should also be "pink" or something... But beware, there's also another pink and smaller one, like the one that the sim of the Kat family from The Sims 2 Pets has.
