Teen Style Stuff Pack AnnouncedSo here it is guys, Stuff Pack number six has been announced and this time it's based on Teen Styles.Here's a link to the new page dedicated to the pack, pre-order information will be announced soon: http://thesims2.ea.com/about/sp6_index.php Also on the page you'll find a new Simlish pop song to download and add to your Sims 2 Music directory. However it's going to be included in the upcoming Stuff Pack so if you're patient you could just wait until you get the pack... Suppose it depends just how much you like the new song really.

I can't wait!!I use alot of Maxis Outfits for my Sims, and i use alot of Maxis outfits to recolor them and place on my pages. i am psyched for that, and Bon Voyage to come out!! Thanks for the link!!

I guess I should start saving up for this, the new furniture meshes will hopefully be worth it and maybe ports some of the teen meshes to much needed childrens wear.

I readon some sites forum that some peopel think the pack doesn't make sense beacsue they can get these stuff from other sites for free>yes that is true but in my honest opinion that kinda slow down the game faster that the stuff pack would it makes the screen take longer to load. | ||||

To a degree that's true but the same could be said for all the Stuff Packs as they're all packs with just additional item and clothing content to suppliment your base Sims 2 game. With the possible exception of the Holiday Stuff Pack, as that introduces the Santa Claus NPC which can visit your lot if you take the right steps to "encourage" his visit... Seems like even good old Saint Nick needs a bit of bribery before he'll treat your Sims. 
However the Stuff Packs appeal to many gamers as it's Maxis-made content that is fully supported by Maxis, so those players uneasy about downloading player made content would be pleased with the Stuff Packs. Additionally Maxis' official stance as said by one of their Maxoids is that The Sims 2 also has a large player base who have no connection to the internet and therefore this is their way of providing those players with additonal content. Of course the profits that these packs bring with them, easily puts that above stance up for some debate as to whether or not that was their actual intended purpose. 
When it comes down to it though, it's entirely upto the player's choice as to which Expansion and Stuff Packs they choose to purchase, if the player feels that the pack wouldn't benefit their game due to already having similar custom content then there really is no need for them to purchase it. Personally I can never understand why some players get so worked up about these additional packs. I fully understand the cost side of things... And even I wouldn't like to take my entire Sims 1 and 2 collections and add up their total purchase value, as I'm sure seeing the number in black and white won't be pretty.
Then there's the suitable counter arguement that although The Sims 2 base game was brilliant in itself, would they have preferred if no Expansion or Stuff Packs were released at all? No Pets... No Seasons... No Holidays... Probably not. However if for example, someone would rather their Sims didn't have Pets then they can easily not buy the expansion and keep quiet, rather than complaining about those that do. As for the "Stuff Packs", as I said they add no real additional content to the game other than some aesthetically pleasing items and clothing, however if the player "chooses" to purchases that extra content that's fair enough. There just doesn't seem to be any real need for those that don't want the content to complain. You don't want, you don't buy... Seems simple enough to me. Well that's just my opinion on these Stuff Packs and I'm sure that not every Sims 2 player will agree with me. I guess it just frustrates me when I go to read The Sims 2 official forum and all I see is people complaining about the release of new packs. Honestly you'd think that Maxis were physically holding these people at knifepoint and mugging them.
Players asking why Maxis keep releasing these Stuff Packs... When quite honestly the answer seems kinda obvious to me... However last time I checked their was no law against a commercial software company selling additional expansions or upgrades to an existing product of their own. However just to be clear... I still detest the idea of pre-order "bonuses". As far as I'm concerned, if you are willing to buy a specific Expansion or Stuff Pack then you should be entitled to *all* content created for said pack. As opposed to the current idea of getting *exclusive* items for pre-ordering and purchasing from one specific place or another. Still at least we here as a community have worked a way around that particular problem.

Counting to my other reply, im completely back into TS2 now. It loads in under a minute with this new computer, and it plays on everything set to high with no lag at all. | ||||

Ah... The joys of having a powerful gaming computer...
It's so nice to actually be able to load up large lots and go travelling around the neighbourhood without a 5 minute wait everytime. I've tried running my Sims 2 games on older computers in my house and quite honestly I couldn't bare it, I dread to think how irritating playing Bon Voyage would be to play on an older system... I'd never want to travel around the destination just due to awful loading times! 
Needless to say I only ever play The Sims 2 on my most powerful computer and as Skyfallkavu seems to have found... It makes playing The Sims so much more fun.

P.S: Is it just me, or is thesims2.co.za getting the pre-orders from here and posting them there? I'm just asking because Paladin posted the T-Shirt and they said that the pre-orders were already "starting to appear" and that they had already been "able to obtain the Teen Style Cool Design Tee Shirt"... Sort of a "coincidence", get it? And it's frustrating because we waste our time getting them here for everyone and other people just "steal" them... If, of course, that's the case.

Well if you read the article they state exactly how they were able to acquire the item, by using the instructions and code from the Walmart sales page here: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=7789028 Which is how I was able to get hold of the download, as I knew Walmart had done the same in the past. So I really don't think they're taking the file straight off here and posting it on their website. Still personally I don't mind if other websites host the files, surely the point of this forum is to help distribute those files and what better way than to host on a number of websites. Of course a little acknowledgement and thanks certainly wouldn't go amiss if we did happen to be the direct source of a download.
However as I said, I don't think that's the case with the t-shirt. |

The codes do work, but they've fixed the download pages so that the code for the poster will only work on the poster, the code for the jeans will only work for the jeans etc.
If you try to use a code to get a download it isn't meant for, the browser will download the download that the code is actually for. EAxis wised up. |

Hey everyone i have bougth my game from amazon and i got a email saying that my order has been delayed because of a problem from the manfactures and i thinks it because of there registration codes for the game that not work because the icon isn't showing up on the sim page but if i get the code for the dtuffed animal i will post if here rigth away. | ||||

If that was the case then EA would never have shipped the product to any retailer, I doubt very much that they would ship to everyone except one of the largest online retailers on the planet. If I had to guess, Amazon themselves have probably made an error themselves and are simply shifting the blame to appease their own customer base. However as I said that's a pure guess, see it really is nice that commercial companies can use phrases like "delayed because of a problem with the manufacturer", as it really is so vague and uninformative that it could mean practically anything. As for the game icons not showing up in people's profiles on the official website, that's more likely to be a technical problem with the website itself than the actual The Sims 2 Teen Style Stuff product. So that wouldn't affect the game itself as you would still be able to enter the registration code during the installation process of the game, so that you could still play the game. Therefore it's very unlikely that, that's the cause of Amazon's delay. On the positive side though, if you did place your order with Amazon.com as a pre-order then you are still fully entitled to receive the bonus code for the stuffed toy once they've shipped the product to you, as they're commited as a seller due to it being offered at the time of your purchase. So if you receive the item without the code, I would contact Amazon's customer services and ask them to send you the code that they offered you and that you're fully entitled to receive. |

Yep I had this problem with Amazon before and that is why I quit oredering from them, I think they take more orders than they are going to get so some customers end up having to wait and wait. The time I ordered from them my game was over a week after the date I was told and I finally called them and they said it was still on back order, needless to say I cancelled my order. I hope they get your game to you real soon, Happy Simming . | ||||
