Yeah but they did release a 2007 Christmas Edition that includes The Sims 2 Deluxe, Happy Holiday Stuff Pack and Teen Style Stuff Pack. (http://www.thesims.pt/products.view.asp?id=60) Translation: "This year The Sims 2 is going to offer you not one, but three games for you to celebrate with all the honors your Christmas! We created the best game in the history of The Sims 2 and we know you're not going to want to miss it. In addition to the festive objects, we added The Sims 2 Deluxe, which includes the original game and the Nightlife expansion, and The Sims 2 Teen Style Stuff Pack. Oh ok, thanks for the heads up.
I agree with that. I mean EA is putting The Sims brand on everything. Ex: Sims Carnival (both BumperBlast and  SnapCity), The Sims DJ, The Sims Pool, The Sims Bowling and MySims. Sure The Sims Stories I understand. Even the "combined packs", but only for people who don't have the game yet. Although with The Sims 1 Deluxe Edition I did not agree with the "exclusive" objects. Even now with the pre-order items, they're making a code for each of the downloads. If we want all of them we have to pre-order three or more copies of the same game?! These I mentioned are just their way of making money and personally not my idea of fun. Ha!

A lot of it is redundant data too, one of these days I'm going to go through all the package files and remove the stuff that's changed in later eps

Actually I found that my computer runs faster with it uninstalled. Now I can pull off 16xQ Anti-aliasing on some games. | ||||
