I tried to extract some objects using SimPE 0.64 (the latest version), but for some reason I was not able to see the correct objects, the file table only showed me the objects from the Celebration Stuff and Holiday Stuff. Perhaps I did something wrong, I am no expert with SimPE and only followed a short tutorial I found in another forum.

I've cloned the TSPS objects with SimPE but they are invisible and unusable in TS2 !
So it requires more advanced adjustment !

I think I will be able to figure out how to get these in the game. I just need a little help from someone who knows SimPE a little better than I do. It has them listed in my game but it says no picture and nothing appears when you place the object. How do you manipulate things in SimPE to make it appear in the game? I think it has something to do with changing the flag values??

I am planning on doing the rest of the conversions and will be willing to post them if someone can help me with a SimPE question. In the object catalog some objects like the testing objects have an x next to them the same is true for all the Pet stories objects how do I fix this so I can make is selectable. I figure it's one of the flag values (possibly and simple as something similar to putting NPC clothes in the game) Any help and I think that I can get them.

The flags set whether an item is turned off, hidden, for neighborhood view only, for use in buy or build mode etc... As with the fish tank you might want to check out the flag setting with the in game Sim 2 fish tank and compare it to the pet stories fish tank. Also the catalog category. The catalog defines where in the catalog the items will be placed. I believe and may be wrong you do not need to be concerned about product that this applies to clothes but you might want to check the setting out also.
In clothes once you determine the correct flag setting you can apply the setting to all clothes such as making an item career clothes or NPC uniform or just plain regular clothes. I do not know if this is true with objects as I am still learning myself through trial and error.

I've successfully converted all the new objects from Life Stories to Sims 2 before. And they are of much higher qualities than those from Numenor (I'm not sure why Numenor changed the GUID for the objects as well as lowering the quality of the texture).
But what I can tell you here, not all Pet Stories objects are compatible with The Sims 2. Objects like those from the Pet Contest and the vending machine cannot just have the relevant files moved to Sims 2 and then having them working properly...
For the vending machine, however, I've come up with an idea. Download a custom-made vending machine from Mod The Sims 2 and then change its mesh and texture into those from Pet Stories...

Anyway, I'll be converting all those convertible items from Sims 2 this summer... (Coz I'm having so much do right now for my University )

Here's a popular item I've seen a few people ask for.
Havelock from moreawesomethanyou has converted the unique reward aquarium from Pet Stories for use in The Sims 2.
