At last there are news regarding pre-orders for the last Stuff Pack.
Not much yet.

simtimes.de writes that pre-ordering in the EA Store yields some kind of small stone fountain/basin Maroccan style.
On simtimes.de there is also a small picture.

I pre-ordered from GameStop and didn't get a bonus object, I really figured that GameStop would give a bonus item like they did last time even though they didn't show one,  hope someone gets these 2 items to share with us all.

I ordered my copy from www.play.com who have promised me the gnome as a pre-order.
However since I'm from the UK, the release date is a little behind the US's and therefore I'm still waiting for its release on Friday.
That said though, if no-one has uploaded it by the time I get the pre-order, I'll be sure to put it up myself. Smile

Thanks Paladin - that's awesome - I don't know why the Garden Gnome wasn't offered in a US store - I checked all the one's I could think of and no bonus.  After you upload the Garden Gnome, the fountain planter is the only one that is left.

Thanks Paladin, I believe that EA then is the only one that offered the planter. The thing is I went to order it from EA last week and it wasn't showing the bonus item then either so I assumed that they were doing like they did the last time and just wasn't showing the bonus items so I ordered from GameStop and I usually order way before a pack or expansion is coming out but I waited this time to see what they would be offering. Darn EA! This was really selfish of them.

If someone has the code for the Garden Gnome, they could go to the bench link and try the Garden Gnome code out and see if it works.  I didn't hear of the bench either.  In fact, I thought this time there was no bonus since I didn't find a store with a bonus.

As for the code... Who knows?
Sometimes Play are quick with codes, sometimes they take forever.

The Code for the Gnome is the same as for the Planter, it works with both of them. But if you go to the bench-side (where is eben a pic of the object) you can enter the code and it will also be accepted, but instead of downloading the bench it starts downloading the Planter. Sad

I couldn't get the code to work for the bench playyourlife, maybe I'm not doing something right though. See if it will work for you.

I saw however play.com may have been given a different code to handout that works for say the gnome *and* the bench.
Or it could be the exact same code...

I sure hope someone comes up with the code for the bench  I just had to redo my whole computer, rather my hubby but thank goodness my backup sims and sites and all were saved on an external drive but now I have to start installing my Sims 2 and all those expansiosn and stuff packs all over again.

Yea, Snooty should be well respected here. I am a fan of SnootySim as I always go there to look for Sims' news and cheat codes!

In the meantime, I guess we should try to guess the code ourselves as it seems no retail store has ever offered that bonus item.

All we need to do is to make 10x26x10x26=67,600  guesses as the code is sure to have the pattern XYGMANXY where X is a numeral while Y is an English letter.

We better have some division of labour here and each of us makes some guesses per day.... I am pretty sure before Sims 3 is released, we will have got the bench if we do it this way.

You can do a javascript which test dynamicly all the possible codes !

I've been trying to guess the code.  I've been trying everyday when I get on the computer.  I hadn't realized all the possible codes.  I knew the first two and the last two would be different and the middle 4 would be the same.  It's hard now to guess the codes since they added numbers in.  Before when it was just letters in the codes it was easy to guess.  I did it numerous times.  I hope one of us guess the code for the bench.

My new computer has been acting up and I haven't been able to get on the net but I can  now start trying to guess this code too. I know my computer will be down a couple a days next week but other than those days I'll be more than glad to help work on solving the code. Hopefully one of us will get lucky.

BD, do you know the Java stuff? Or anything that can carry out the guess by itself?

Say some program that can enter the code in the space of the site "http://thesims2.ea.com/getcoolstuff/redeem_download.php?codeType=SP9BENCH" and then it will guess the code from "1AGMAN1A then 1AGAMN1B .... up to 9ZGMAN9Z" and it will only stop when the site start downloading something?

And of course the code "5DGMAN8K" should be excluded as we all know it let us download something but just not the one we want.

I remember those days you need to guess 5 letters that means 26^5 = 11,881,376 possibilties!!! Shocked

CZ? Is it Czech Republic? I guess we do not have many Czech people going to this forum. That's to say our chance of getting the bench is minimal!

I've been searching everywhere I can for it but so far no luck. I've also been trying to guess the code, hopefully someone will get it in time.

I tried contacting XZONE but there is no reply yet. Maybe they will simply ignore my email coz it was in English instead of Czech.

Hopefully, they will help me. Maybe send us the code; send us the item; let us subscribe and download the item; or simply let us pay for the item.

By the way, is there a way to contact XZONE subscriber who may have the item directly?

I really really want to have the bench and I guess most of us here do as well! It's the last item to complete our pre-order bonus collection!!!!

I can't find XZone, do you have the address? I Googled it but got a Radio Station and some other junk. I know a lot of sites and have been to so many that my head is spinning and I've been trying to guess the code but the possibilities is endless. I do have 1 more site that I trust and I'm going to post a message there and hopefully someone there can help us. I'll keep at it though until we get it. I also read that Netframe would help with the code but I'm not sure how to do that, anyone here know?

XZone's URL is http://www.xzone.cz/ and you can find their e-mail at the top of the homepage.

But I guess it wouldn't be cool to send them another request just now. Let's wait a few more days to see if they will reply to my email first.

I did post a question at a forum that I belong to that has simmers from all over so hopefully someone will answer the question and be able to help.

LOL, I just notice that my ranking is now "can't speak Czech!" And I love that!

BTW, I suddenly thought of how I found those Pepsi Bonuses for Sims 1 back in those days and how I find that Tata Young skin right after Sims 2 Seasons' released in Thailand.

BD, are you a registered user of the official Sims site? If so, you can go there and search people's SimPage, you choose show users in Czech Republic under countries and choose show "All" and under somewhere I forgot choose "Random"... Then all Czech user of Sims2.ea.com will show up. You may then try to message them one by one. I am so busy right now. If I am to do this, I can only get started next Friday.

Back in those days with Sims 1, I often went to the BBS and asked who had collected what. Some guy will then turned up and I was so bold to leave them a email to contact me. Every so often, some nice guy would send me the file I wanted (I even found the skins for Sims 1 Japanese version this way and later on shared it on a Yahoo Group called Sims Exclusives, anyone went there before??  Wink ) But the price was my email was then become spammed by tons of junk mails!

Anyway, really hope that we can all get the Bench!

OK... I tried contacted so many Czech players the last few days but no reply so far.

I guess maybe they do not understand the language I was using. I guess it would be much more polite to have someone talk to them in Czech than English.

If anyone her knows Czech or knows any friend that knows it, please let me know. Our chance of finding the bench will be much greater if we have Czech-speaking peopler around.

I just made a post in a Czech Sims forum in Czech (I tried to tranlate it from English). Hopefully, someone will show up and help. Let's wait for the good news. In the meantime, we still need to guess the code.

Anyway, here is some bad news. The moderator at the forum I mentioned earlier just replied saying it is not OK to ask for that object at their forum. He didn't delete my thread but he just deleted the email that I posted there. So I guess people won't be able to send in the bench even if they have it unless they send me a private message and ask for my email.

Anyway, I have also come across so many site where some Czech simmers were discussing those (X)Zone objects. Some even said they would never pre-ordered from (X)Zone as (X)Zone was so stingy to offer just 3 objects. It was really (X)Zone's bad not to make clear those objects were made by EA! It was even funny to find someone so bold to write online something like this: "I won't pre-order from them as I like downloading the game from the Internet"... I guess they love Torrents. And if that's the case, I am afraid it would be real difficult to find someone who did pre-order from (X)Zone.

Just one more question, is Mansion and Garden already released in Czech Republic? As I see (X)Zone is still accepting people's pre-order of the game. Maybe we can have someone pre-order there to get the bench. Smile

I imagine that Mansion and Garden Stuff pack has been released everywhere by now, is it still offering the bonus? I would have considered maybe ordering another but shipping would be really high to get it shipped here.
I am still checking this 1 forum that I belong to because they have simmers from all over and I think I stand a good chance of getting it from some of my friends. I have simmer friends from all over, is the Xzone the only place that offered the bench?[/list]

I guess the moderator there is giving me some hints on finding the recolors of the bench. Once we've got the recolor, we should contact the author to see if he could send us the original one. But the question is those online translators really suck and can only translate one to two Czech words in one complete Czech sentence. Let's discuss what their replies are here.

I even joined one of the forums that they mentioned it looks like from what I read that they were trying to say to pm someone but I'm not sure who because at the same time they said don't pm King something I forget. I'll keep searching though and I'll keep trying to go to these Chez forums and maybe we'll eventually get lucky. I've thought about posting something about it at the BBS but I know that's against the rules but I'm bout ready to give it a try, lol. Oh well onward searching, lol.  Laughing

Maybe you can distract those Maxoids a bot by making a post at BBS asking if there are Czech simmers or anyone ordered hte game from (X)Zone. Just do not make it too obvious. Good luck!

Well I've hunted from 1 forum to another, 1 site to another and been asking some people that I thought it would be safe to ask lol, but finally posted a question at the BBS so here's hoping with fingers crossed that we get some info and I don't get banned,  Wink

I don't know how to do the java program, so I created a spreadsheet for codes for me to work from.  We could possibly use it so we know what other people have tried

I have this chart.  For example AA
would go from 1AGMAN1A to 0AGMAN0A
DK would be 1DGMAN1K to 0DGMAN0K  With each set of letters I go through all the number combinations.  The blank spaces are the ones I've tried.  The bold was just for me...I was going to try those first since the letters for the 1st code was on the 2nd row.
Hope this makes sense.  I guess I'm a completist and really want the item.  If no luck, on a site most of us have been to they had a paypal account where people put money for store items.  I'd be willing to contribute to ordering the game from XZONE if we have no luck.  If we use this I'd keep up with the chart if people let me know what they try.   I'm more than willing to help if anybody has a better system.

I'm not sure if XZone has digital download feature or not. If not, maybe we send them an E-mail asking if they let us pay the price of the game just to get the bench.

Yeah we could try that and see if they would let us buy it, heck maybe we would get lucky and they would give it to us, I have asked from places that I thought for sure I was going to find someone but to no such luck and no one even answered my question on the BBS, this is the hardest one to find ever. But now I must have this object, lol, I hate defeat and won't give up, lol. Golly Sims has made me a desperate person.  Laughing

Is anyone having issues with the bench not showing up in their game? I have all the games installed and it's just not coming up in the Buy catalogue. Perhaps it's incompatible with one of the games?

The bench shows up fine in my game and I have all the expansions and stuff packs.

However with the exception of officially released Maxis downloads, I don't have any custom content in my game, so perhaps the bench's GUID is clashing with some other custom content that you've got in your game?

Can't be. I just installed them all and it is the only download installed.
