Have you "cracked" your BV or TSS install?Firstly, this thread does not break the TOS of MyFreeForum.org as the TOS states that you can not: | Quote: | | Promote warez. Post links to copyright material on file sharing or other services that are not regarded as reputable public operations that take full responsibility for material on their servers. | This post contains no links and nor is it promoting you going out and downloading the game rather than buying it.
I was wondering, how many of you have cracked your legimate BV/TSS install (that you paid for and have installed using your own serial number) to escape the troubles caused by the SecuROM now present in the EP/SP's now?
It seems as though it is the only way we will ever escape the nonsense SecuROM has created since EA seems to refuse to use other anti-piracy software. This is yet another milestone in the unfortunate downward spiral the franchise is in.

Why are they using Securom anyway? I like Safedisc.

Why do they even put on copy protection? Every single one known to date has been cracked.

I use the nocd cracks all the time, I don't like having to carry around a ton of cds with my laptop. Though more recently I've just stopped caring, I know with C&C 3 the crack caused more problems (like crashing all the time), so it really wasn't worth it.
So for now, I'm just using the original cds

I prefer to use mini cd images as it's much easier to update the game when there are updates but alas this time they updated so that my mini image no longer functions.

I use a NO-DVD-Crack for BV because the daughters of my spouse used the DVD so often and quite carelessly, it now has more scratches than every one of my older Sims DVDs/CDs that I purchased before I met my current spouse. So it is simply to protect the DVD.
