EA Contacted TheSims2.co.za...Apparently, EA contacted TheSims2.co.za and told them to stop distributing the exclusive bonuses and they have and it looks like more sites (possibly this one) will be contacted soon too.

That's a bummer. At least on this site, when someone has an exclusive item, they could announce it in a post, and then other members could 'pm' them for the download link.

I hope thats doesn't happen here I don't wanna blame anyone but i see people on the sims2 forum add name of sites that give out the bonus downloads and they even give out the name od the site that gives all donation object for free which would be paysites must be destoryed. I get mad when they do that because then when maxis reads the forums they see all those sites being listed and thats how they find the sites am not going to lie that how i found out about here. but i have never put the sites name there because i know it could be bad for those who never get the bonues and i don't wanna see this forum go. Sky please do something.

Though, technically, this website is not breaking any rules. This site merely contains links to the bonuses - it doesn't actually host them (since they're on RapidShare etc). But it doesn't hurt to put some preventive measures in place. 
Banning EA's IP addresses may also help too (159.153.*).

yea thats a good idea.Don't get me wrong i am happy that people wanna share there bonues with other people but at the same time its how you go about doing it. because i for one i give my code away all the time when i get a bonues object.

Sky has done something, you now need to be logged in before you can view the forums. We'll see if something more drastic needs to be done.
I'd imagine the worst case scenario would be direct download links would have to be scrapped and instead links to the preorder page with redemption codes posted in the topic.

Well that would be a bit frustrating, I mean sending private messages with the download link for almost everyone.

I heading to the admin panel now, but I did set up legal thingies that prevented EA or anybody associated with them to register on this site, and you do actually need to register to view the forums.

I sure hope they don't bother this forum, I would be so dissapointed if they did, I don't understand why EA cares after all if I or any simmers wants to share the bonus stuff I feel and exchange them then I feel EA doesn't really have the right to tell me not too. I do have 1 question, can something be done about the date of when a post is made, it would be very helpful to know when posts are new. Thanks and Happy Simming.

Well, I know for sure EA has found out about my website, some of their IP's have shown up on some IP logs.
Haven't received an e-mail yet. Maybe they fell for the trick I pulled...
