Custom Wallpaper and Flooring Organisation QuestionI'm currently doing a major re-organisation of all my downloads.
Official, Pre-order bonuses, Life Stories conversions, Pet Stories conversions, Castaway Stories conversions, etc.
Anyway I'm just wondering, with the custom wallpapers and flooring...
Does anyone know if they're organised in any particular manner within the Build Mode catalogue? E.g. Depending on filename or GUID...
Just I'd rather organise them properly so that similar style wallpapers/floors are grouped together within their respective sub-categories, rather than just where my game decides to randomly place them.

I think the catalogue sorts only by price. Don't know about the filenames, though, they mostly seem to be some letter/number-gibberish.

I'm aware that it's organised by price.
Was just wondering if anyknow knows if custom content of the same price is organised in any further manner.
Particulary since the Castaway Wallpapers and Floors are *all* exactly 2 Simoleons.
(If you convert the Castaway currency of 2 Resources into 2 Simoleons for The Sims 2.)

Ah, now I understand what you mean.
Unfortunately I never paid attention to that. At the moment I don't really know how to check that.

I guess they are just sorted out randomly if they have the same prices. It depends on which file is read by the program first... For instance, the walls and floors from Happy Holiday Stuff always appear before others. This means those files under "The Sims 2\TSData\Res\Catalog\Bins\" are read before other downloads. Hope this help.

That's where I store all my permament downloaded content anyway, with the exception of skins since they don't work when stored there.
Just helps me distinguish which of my content is up-to-date and fully functional. Where as something that needs updating, for example a Stories conversion or an outdated download due to new interactions added by an expansion, I keep in my downloads folder in My Documents.
Plus anything added there has that tacky custom star removed from in-game too.
So as far as I'm aware that actually has no effect on where the objects appear in-game, as I've noticed no difference in the organisation due to where I store my custom content.
Similary I don't believe it's by filename, since I tested that myself and found that it had no effect. Therefore *if* it is read in a particular order, it could be by a different ID number within the coding of the content.
Or it could just be random...

If your question has already been answered, please disregard this.
They are sorted by price, and by wall type. If when it was made it was cataloged as a paneling at $5, it will be in the paneling section, at $5 a panel.
i usually place mine in the Tile section because that is the smallest section with walls, so people can find mine easier, even though most of them are wallpaper or painted.
Hope that helps.

Thanks, however I was actually wondering how the Walls/Floorings are organised if they're of the same category and price.
