A little about me (Feel free to share)I felt like im just mysterious to some of you, so I thought Id share my life.
---
Hello! Im Skyfallkavu. My real name is Bryan. I personally hate it because I... just do...
Im 13 years old (Surprise, surprise!) and I live in New York.
Theres 4 people in my family, and I have two rabbits, and a dog.
I like computers in my free time, and I like to hack them This includes from changing out a video card, to modding video game consoles >_>
My favorite food is Chinese food. (Chicken and Broccoli to be exact)
My brother is heading off to Collage, so im going to be lonely for a while.
---
Mmkay, thats about it for now. Ill share more later when I think of it. Feel free to share your lives too.

I'm age 19 but I'm about to turn 20 in a few months and live in Colorado
I'm the youngest of three, with two sisters. I used to have a dutch rabbit, but we had to put him down 3 years ago.
My major is Computer Networking, but I've been working with computer hardware since 7th grade.

Re: A little about me (Feel free to share)Well, by the two posts already in this thread I have a feeling I could be the oldest member of this forum! I am not ready for AARP benefits but I do party like a rock star.
I have degrees in Education and Psychology. I am currently a special education teacher. I work with individuals who have special needs (learning disabilities, emotional disturbances, ADHD, etc.). My students would always be fascinated when they would start to talk about the video games they play and then I would chime in about the Sims. I think the Sims may be one of those games that anyone of any age can enjoy.
As a hobby I do DJ. I am also a maniac when it comes to "sharing" music files on Limewire. It was a sad day when Napster stopped being Napster.

For someone so young you have really done a phenomenal job with this forum, organizing it and running it so everyone can enjoy it. You also write on an extremely mature level. Like Aroenai, I assumed you to be older. As a consumer, I was OUTRAGED that some people would get certain objects just by where they purchased the Sims! Your work has made many people happy.
Here's getting to know you all.

Why thank you for thinking im so mature
I built this site off of experience. I had a site when I was in 4th grade, but it was a major bomb. I wonder if its still around...

Well I too thought you were much older than 13, I can imagine your parents must me very proud of you.
I don't know about Nicelo being the oldest member on this forum, I think I might beat you to it, I am a housewife with 2 children, (although they probably wouldn't like to be called children), with a love of all things Sim. Not much to say about myself except, I used to work for an Ex Premiership Footballers father, whose offices were in the same building as 2 of Englands 1966 World Cup Players Offices and I used to see these 2 players quite often.
Keep up the good work Skyfalkavu, I don't know what I would do for Sims stuff without your site.
Love to you all,
Beebee.

*Cough* I wouldn't know what they would say proud with my habits! We got letters from the RIAA twice over my filesharing habits >___> Yeah. Im a pirate, arr. But im smarter now! I have security that blocks government IPs!

Well I too thought Skyfallkavu was much older, you are quite an impressive young individual.
As you can tell I'm a newbie but this site is so awesome.
Now age is a matter of mind, lol, or thats what you say when you reach my age and we won't go there, lol, but trust me I have you all beat, lol.
I have grown up kids, lol, and have Grandkids but that doesn't keep me from enjoying Sims , I just love Sims2 and before that The Original Sims, and can't wait for Sims3. I feel that Sims brings all ages together and what I have learned from the younger generation is beyond words and I aprreciate it so much and always anxious to learn more. So I hope my age doesn't scare ya, I love meeting new people of all ages and thanks for allowing me to join such a great site.

You know, you are right. Every single age can enjoy The Sims. I used to play TS1 when I was in 4th grade. Thats actually what my old site was based on.
Oh, also. Im going into 8th grade this year. I cant believe its been 4 years already!

In 4th grade you made a Website?! That is impressive. When I was in 4th grade I made gum that tasted like a tree.

Skyfallkavu,
Letters from the RIAA! I am now more impressed with you than I was before! You are a rebel! I have to watch my LimeWire habits.
Beebee and BD,
Thanks for not making me feel like a freak on this site! After Skyfallkavu's post I thought everyone was going to be ages 8 through 15 and I would be the ONLY one in need of Geritol!
Sims is truly a wonderful game for everyone regardless of physical and mental age.

I am so glad to have found this site and happy to meet you all. My Grandkids and their friends call me Video Granny and their friends are always telling me that they wished their Grandma was like me and would play games with them. I recently even got a Wii and oh what fun we have had with that. Nicelo what a wonderful person you are, and to be doing such important work. I really have been so impressed with the younger generation and how they respond to an older simmer like me, most are very open and usually forget that I'm so much older after awhile.
Happy Simming all

BD,
Video Granny! That is awesome. Your grandchildren will love you and remember you forever! I am sure their friends are very jealous they don't have a grandmother like you.
I loved my grandmother dearly because she took the time to play with me. When I was a "kid" I was very much into Lego's. She would build with me and I loved that.
Thank you for your kind words about my job. It is truly rewarding and I am thankful I have a job I enjoy. It only becomes frustrating when the children I teach don't get all the services they need (counseling, speech therapy, etc.). Too much politics in school districts and in the state ed department here in NY ruin it for the students.
BD, your age means nothing. One's spirit and appetite for "fun" transcends chronological age. Today I was at a friend's 40th birthday. The topic of video games came up. Someone mentioned the Sims. I was at a table were I knew no one. I started talking about the Sims and I couldn't shut up! The one "dude" who was about 8 years younger than me started to talk about cheats, game facts, etc. I corrected him on many things. He was SHOCKED to learn a male could get preg with an alien baby! I almost publicly questioned his "Simness" for not knowing that! I then mentally slapped myself and stopped talking because I was getting WAY into the game and people started to have a glazed look on their faces.
Thanks again BD. And to ANYONE on Sky's wonderful forum who feels "awkward" about their age .... DON'T! Age is only an issue when you allow it to be.

Nicelo, its not my forum. Just because I created it, dosnt mean I run it alone. I have a pretty large Admin and Mod staff, and sometimes the users even help me out too. Its basically everybody's forum.
And BD, wow! Your grandkids must be so lucky! I sorta wish you were my grandma. All my Grandma does is watch the news over and over...and over. (The stories keep repeating with the same exact content.)

Thank you Nicelo and Skyfallkavu fro the wonderful compliments, you've made my day . I have had so many good times with my grandkids playing games, I'm always saying that I was born 20 years too early, lol. I would be proud to have a grandchild like you Skyfallavu and Nicelo, I'll be your Granny here on the net. Nicelo, since that fella didn't know about male sims gettting PG by aliens I would have to agree I don't think he was much of a simmer, lol, I always thought I would love to have a club or something around my area so that Simmers could meet say every 6 mths or something and have a get together, that would be so much fun, but I don't run across too many from my area, although I imagine they're around but just don't talk about it. As you can tell I can be a talker, lol. Oh Necelo I too use to love building Lego's with my kids and grandkids.

I grew up playing on an Atari 2600 and a dos computer lol, video games have been in my family for ages ^__^ After that I became the independent computer geek, learned HTML coding when I was 11 and built my first pc in 7th grade.
Legos were awesome, but the newer sets aren't as good. Anyone remember the original Knight's Kingdom sets?
4th grade Skyfallkavu? Wow, my parents wouldn't let me play any T rated games when I was that young, I'm jealous!

Hi everyone, I'm going to go with the flow and introduce myself.
My name is Paul, I'm 24 years old. Can't say where I'm from sorry the reason for that is like Skyfallkavu, I'm also a pirate, I collect and share anything from games to t.v. shows to movies and software.
I also enoy games like Civilization 3, Doom, Starcraft, Hitman, ect and espicially Sega, I know old school lol
one thing I will admit to is I'm a bit envious of you Skyfallkavu because you apparently know more then me about computers, particularly html coding, ect lol but thats pretty impressive stuff man getting letters from the RIAA at age 13 wow lol.
quick question if you don't mind me asking you Bryan (I hope you don't mind me calling you by your real name) whats the name of the prog you use to block government IPs and where can I find it?
|
Skyfallkavu

Yeah, I don't care what you call me Sky, or Bryan.
I use Peerguadian 2. http://phoenixlabs.org/pg2/
I usually install every single security list (But not the non-LAN one.) just to be safe. Its worked quite good, and I also only stay on the private tracker I use. I don't use anywhere else. (The first RIAA letter was for downloading a movie from Sharazza, the old program I used. The second one was from downloading a game off of a highly used Bittorrent tracker. I now only use demonoid.)
Oh, the bad thing is with PG2, is that it usually blocks games from connecting to the internet. So turn it off when you want to play something.
EDIT: Oh, and also. I don't know squat about HTML. >_>

Thats cool about using private trackers / torrents and its smart to. One thing I do know about P2P appliciations is that the anti-piracy patrolls go after the uploaders the most. so I don't share on p2p networks, trackers, bittorrents ect. mainly the only downloading I do is via rapidshare.com and megaupload.com, I also upload to those sites on 100% fake accounts with say a name like jack daniels from NY or whatever lol. my only use for a p2p like limewire is music downloading, and the occasial porno haha, also direct downloads IMO are probably the safest, then again I don't trust much anymore with all this anti-piracy crap going on.
