3 Bon Voyage skinsSorry if this is posted before:The Brazillian Sims site posted a Sims magazine and on page 7 are 3 Bon Voyage skins. I cannot say if they're Maxis skins or made by a fansite. But check it here: http://www.ea.com.br/simpost/dez07/ |

Can't say whether or not they were actually created by Maxis or not, as I can't really see any mention of it. However looking at the page and the fate that they're referred to as exclusive, does lead me to believe that the skins are an official EA promotion release of some description. That said though, it seems to me that as time passes that less and less "promotional" material for The Sims 2 is being exclusively created by Maxis. Seems to me that with a lot of current promotions by EA, that the objects/clothing released could be by any 3rd party developer that works on behalf of EA. Which I think we'll continue to see more of as we see the release of The Sims 3 and onwards. It's got to the point where EA has obviously worked out how profitable that the Sims brand is and as long as they own the brand name and publishing rights, they can release anything they want as part of The Sims brand without first needing to consult with Maxis. |

Actually just taken a quick look at the clothing in-game and found that I now have some clothing plus a few extra hairstyles and make up options that all have tags or logos on them relating to their creator or website they came from. So seems to me that EA just took a bunch of fan-made clothing compiled it into a single pack and released it along with this online magazine to help promote Bon Voyage. |
